Emerald Housing Management, LLC (EHM) was established in 2006 to manage multifamily projects owned by its affiliate, Emerald Housing Partners, LLC, and its various non-profit partners. The EHM management portfolio currently incorporates over 1,300 units in Tennessee, Georgia, Kansas, Colorado, South Carolina and includes properties subsidized under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, the Rural Development 515 program and the HUD Section 8 program. EHM is a member of the Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association (SAHMA). Members of the management team at EHM receive ongoing training in assisted housing compliance and fair housing practices and many have achieved professional management designations related to LIHTC, Rural Housing and HUD programs.
Chris A. Hodges – President
Chris is the President of Emerald Housing Management, LLC and its affiliated development company Emerald Housing Partners, LLC. In this role he is responsible for the long term goals and strategies of the companies as well as acquisitions, dispositions, financial structuring and client/partner relations. Chris has been actively engaged in the management, ownership and development of assisted multifamily housing for over twenty years and has directed the acquisition and rehabilitation of over 3,500 units utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits, tax-exempt bonds, and various HUD and Rural Development subsidy programs. Chris graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and currently resides in Nashville.
Andrea Langley – Vice President & COO
Andrea is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emerald Housing Management, LLC. She joined EHM as the Accounting Manager in 2007 and was promoted to her current position in 2014. In this role she is responsible for the daily activities of the company to include human resource management, accounting and property operations and also works with the President to establish priorities, strategies and long term goals for the organization. Andrea graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and currently resides in Knoxville.
Marilyn Wooliver - Regional Manager
Marilyn has over 35 years of experience in management and assisted housing communities under various HUD and Rural Development programs as well as the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. She joined EHM in 2008 and is a regional and senior property manager for properties located in south Knoxville, Powell and Morristown. In this position Marilyn supervises management, maintenance and compliance activities. She has received the AHM, FHC, COS, C9P, Spectrum STAR, NAHP and SHCM certifications and was recognized as SAHMA Manager of the Year in 2005.
Davis Hodges - Regional Manager
Davis joined EHM in 2016 as a compliance auditor and was promoted to his current position in 2017. He is a senior and regional manager for properties located in Knoxville, Powell, Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Coffeyville, Kansas. In this position Davis supervises management, maintenance, and compliance activities with a particular emphasis on compliance inspection preparation. He has received certifications in HUD, Rural Development, and Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs including CPO, Spectrum Star, and HCCP. Davis graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Master’s Degree in Geography with an emphasis on housing and currently resides in Knoxville.
Samantha Grubb – Accounting Manager
Samantha joined EHM in 2011 as a bookkeeper and was promoted to her current position as Accounting Manager in 2014. In the role she supervises accounts payable processing by the bookkeeping staff and maintains direct responsibility for preparation of monthly financial reports for the President and COO as well as government agencies, lenders and investment partners. Samantha has achieved the FHC, CPO and SHCM management certifications and graduated from Crown College with a dual degree in Business and Secondary Education.
